Vicky Kaushal and Rashmika Mandanna’s latest historical drama, Chhaava, continues its dominance at the box office. Released on February 14, the film has shattered records, becoming the first major blockbuster of 2025.

After 13 days in theaters, Chhaava has raked in an impressive₹385 crore net in India, with a gross domestic collection of₹434.75 crore. Globally, the film has surpassed the ₹500 crore milestone, standing at ₹509.75 crore, including₹75 crore from overseas markets.

On its second Wednesday, the film earned ₹21.75 crore, aided by the Mahashivratri holiday, which led to a surge in occupancy. Chhaava maintained a nationwide occupancy rate of 34.43%, with Pune leading at 58.75% across 717 shows. Mumbai followed with a 50.50% occupancy across 1,410 shows, while Hyderabad (33%) surpassed Chennai (26.33%) in audience turnout. Delhi-NCR, with 1,264 shows, recorded a 25.75% occupancy rate.

This milestone cements Chhaava as Vicky Kaushal’s highest-grossing film to date and the year’s first superhit. For Rashmika Mandanna, it marks her third highest-grosser after Pushpa 2: The Rule and Animal. While the film saw a slight dip on Tuesday, its collections rebounded strongly on Wednesday, reaffirming its box office might.

With sustained momentum and continued audience interest, Chhaava is well on its way to setting new benchmarks in 2025.
